Study of mice shows protein in womb plays lifelong role in bone health
See this news release for coverage of work by Arin Oestreich, a graduate student in the laboratories of Laura Schulz and Charlotte Phillips. Together we showed that bone strength can be improved in a mouse model of brittle bone disease by changing concentrations of maternal myostatin during pregnancy.
